The temperature of the ventilator humidifier is adjusted to 37-41 ℃.
1. The inspiratory filter must be installed on the ventilator end, and then connected to the humidifier.
2. The humidifier usually has a separate power cord and power switch. Be sure to turn it on after plugging in the power supply, otherwise the gas entering the patient's trachea will be dry and cold. On the contrary, it is necessary to observe and replenish the water level of the humidification tank in time to avoid overheating of the gas entering the patient's trachea caused by dry burning.
3. There may be a small temperature sensor socket on the humidifier. Be sure to plug in a special temperature sensor, otherwise it will be prone to air leakage and temperature monitoring errors.
4. If an artificial nose is used without a heated humidifier, the artificial nose must be installed between the "Y" tube and the patient's tracheal tube or tracheostomy tube.
